Inquiry / RFQ

Start with the application, not the spec sheet—it's faster

Most lock projects don't have a complete spec sheet in the early stages. Tell us the lock type, application scenario, and quantity, and we'll first respond with feasibility and any items that need further confirmation before moving to a formal quote.

What to provide when requesting a quote

Lock typePadlock, cabinet lock, rack lock, or other; if unsure, describe how it will be used
Application scenarioUsage environment (indoor/outdoor), frequency of use, and whether users are single or multiple rotating
Unlocking methodMechanical key, keypad, Bluetooth, NFC, RFID, or a combination; whether remote authorization is needed
QuantitySpecify prototype quantity and estimated annual usage separately
Target marketDetermines applicable testing and certification requirements
Customization scopeAppearance, packaging, labeling, or mechanical adjustments

What happens next

After receiving your inquiry, we first conduct a preliminary feasibility assessment: whether existing mechanisms can be used directly, whether new tooling is required, and what testing requirements apply to the target market. Our response at this stage will include "which items still need your confirmation," rather than just a price.

Once specifications are aligned, we move to DFM design review, then proceed through five stages: tooling development, prototyping and validation, testing and certification, and mass production delivery. The acceptance criteria for each stage are confirmed in writing in advance.

The three most common questions from brand customers

"Can I request a quote without a spec sheet?" Yes. Most projects start with the application scenario and cost target, with specifications defined together during the DFM stage. In fact, writing a spec sheet too early without a manufacturability review often leads to higher costs from later changes.

"What is the minimum order quantity?" It depends on the lock type and whether new tooling is required. If existing mechanisms can be used, the minimum order threshold is significantly lower. When new tooling is involved, tooling amortization becomes the main cost structure, so we need to discuss based on estimated annual usage.

"Can I buy just the hardware for a smart lock?" Yes, but we first need to confirm how your backend manages permissions and records. If you don't have an existing system, we recommend evaluating a cloud solution as well. If you already have a system, please provide the integration specifications when requesting a quote.
